Poll: Reid leads Angle by 3

A new poll could provide a little bit of good news for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, whose Tea-Party backed opponent, Sharron Angle, announced yesterday that she raised an astonishing $14 million in just three months.

The survey from Suffolk University shows Reid with a 3-point lead over Angle – within the poll's margin of error but one of Reid's best performances in a nonpartisan poll since early last month.

The poll showed 46 percent of likely Nevada voters supporting Reid, 43 supporting Angle, and 2 percent supporting Tea Party candidate Scott Ashjian. Three percent of likely voters said "None of these candidates" when they were given the option to "lean" towards one of the contenders; when asked whom they supported without including the "lean" option, 13 percent said they would support none of them.

It's not hard to see why Nevada voters might be dissatisfied with their major candidates. Fifty-two percent of respondents said they said they had an unfavorable opinion of Angle, and 54 percent said the same of Reid.

If you want a reliable "poll" you can't go by a university poll. All polls are skewed to some degree. The most accurate polling is done by Rasmussen. They have proven time and time again, that their polling techniques are far more accurate. I believe that Rasmussen does not have Dirty Harry ahead at all.

Its going to be quite a spectacle when some of you nay sayers (Repub/TP'ers) when you get what you asked for. When that happens, and you begin to realize OMG what have we done...we don't want to hear the whinning, so let the back stabbing begin.

Trust me there won't be any of that. Our party is united. What you speak of is what is currently happening within your own ranks.

Most importantly, I think conservatives are waking up and realizing we don't have to take this from you libs. I'm sorry on one hand that we had to endure these 2 years of Obama and 4 years or Reid/Pelosi, but on the other hand, I think this is what the country really needed to be woken up.

Has anyone seen the jobs and foreclosure data today? This is all Reid, Pelosi, and Obama's doing. I don't see how anyone could vote for them.

I thought it was interesting that very few of the mainstream media outlets are really highlighting those numbers. Why not? I also find it interesting that the dems have now taken the stance of not running on their "successes" like healthcare. Why not? LOL

Joe, what did Pelosi, Reid and Obama do that created the world-wide recession that most countries haven't recovered from yet?

That's quite different from many other polls where Reid is trailing by as many at three points. MSNBC is up to it again....misleading the public...

If Harry loses and the Dems maintain control of the Senate there is a good chance Dick Durbin would be the new leader. Uggggggggggggggg. He is so lame.

Interesting that the poll shows Reid with a 3 point. The latest poll, published in this morings Review Journal (Las Vegas newpaper) shows Angle with a 2 point lead.

Maybe its time the right winger teabag candidates start disclosing who the foreigners are, that are financing their campaigns.

Pure--I have many republican friends that are united as you say. Most do have common sense and are not united behind candidates that are ill equipped to lead us out of this mess. Holding your nose and voting for the best candidate, not just party , takes courage and the realization that doing what's best for America's future, especially now, is what's important. I have no problem replacing someone who has done a poor job with a qualified person no matter the party. Paul, Angle, O'Donnel and a few others will do harm to our nation. Shouldn't what's best for America's future be everyone's goal, not just striking back because we disagree. I hear "take the country back" and now you say "take this from you libs." Take the country back from what and what have you been force to take from the libs?

Old vet, while our soldiers where fighting in Iraq, Harry Reid used a bad day, one in which we had several casualties, to stand in front of the national and international media, and proclaimed to the world that we had lost the war in Iraq. He put his zeal to stick it to Bush ahead of the men fighting in Iraq. I may not live in Nevada but I will gladly continue to send money to Sharron Angle if there is even the slightest chance she will beat Harry.
